Renovation Days 2025: what a blast!
The Renovation Days 2025 in Milan brought together researchers, practitioners, industry, and policymakers for two days entirely dedicated to the future of building renovation. As a programme that sits at the intersection of façade engineering, sustainability, and education, OpenFace had to be part of this event.
Alessandra Luna Navarro (TU Delft) introduced the OpenFace programme and its structured approach to façade design and engineering. The presentation was met with strong interest from both professionals and students eager to deepen their skills in façade engineering.
Throughout the event, our booth became a small meeting point for curious visitors. Many stopped by to learn more from Alessandra and from Miren Juaristi Gutiérrez (Eurac Research) about the course structure, ask questions about the upcoming modules, and watch our video clips — where the familiar faces of Ulrich Knaack and Marcel Bilow made frequent appearances.
We had conversations with architects, engineers, construction managers, researchers, and students, all expressing a genuine interest in a European, open-access programme dedicated to façade performance, innovation, and sustainability.
Our thanks go to all those who enabled this event: Energiesprong Italy, Edera, Eurac Research, the European Façade Network, and the project INFINITE.
